Who would have though Al Gore has power point skillsinconvienent Truth Review
Robin Willis, 31 Jan 2007 @ 11:12
From the perspective of an artist and graphic designer, I believe that Al Gore’s, An Inconvient Truth, is wildly successful. The most effective aspect of the film is how engaging the presentation of his lecture is. One reason many people have ignored global warming for so long is because of the feeling of hopelessness created due to the complexity of the problem. Gore does an excellent job creating compelling evidence, that effectively engages its target audiences. He uses powerful imagery, simplified scientific evidence, and short impressive facts to create a lecture and film that turn people on to global warming instead of off. Gore also does a great job of showing compassion, explaining causes for error in the past and, and does not concern himself with putting too much blame on anyone, especially his audience. |
Stop Global Warming

So there hasn't been snow in new york this winter. If that scares you then you should sign this online virtual march at StopGLobalWarming.org. From what I found this seems to be the largest online body dedicated to stopping global warming. The only way to create action is to first unite and the internet makes it really easy. I know eveyone says this about signing things, but it will really take like a minute tops so just go fill in your name. |

The World Trade Organization has sugested a new model for western companies doing business in Africa to completely own people employed in Africa. They claim that this will be benificial for people in Africa because if they get sick or something and cannot work the company will have to take care of them. Sounds Creepy to me check it out |

If you go to http://www.bigo.com.sg/ and scroll down on the left side there is a surprisingly good quality bootleg from one of the shows at St. Anne's Warhouse last week of Lou Reed performing his entire album «Berlin.» It features many of the original session musicians, Antony (of Antony & the Johnsons) and Sharon Jones (of Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings). |

Playbin Testing Invitation!
Robin Willis, 06 Nov 2006 @ 04:03
PlayBin is a new network of free artistic and creative materials. The goal is to set these materials free from ownership and create a community around them from which everyone can use, learn from and develop.
Every member of playBin is given a certain amount of space on its server to upload whatever there heart desires. This could be photographs, tools, programs, typefaces, incomplete work, inprogress work, unrealized projects, drawings, paintings, writings, music, video. By uploading a file you give the rights to all members of Playbin to use that file however they like. Recycle, share, discuss, and circulate unused artistic material and keep it alive. This will bring life to all those projects you want to finish but don’t have the means. Get feedback about your work, and watch it take directions you never thought to go. |
